Flashback Friday (and Happy 100th Post to Me!! :-))
So cliche, I know...but gosh...time really DOES fly!! These pictures were taken in October 2006. Lia was 22 months old and had been home for 8 months. I am so proud of the fabulous little girl she has become, but I must admit, these pictures tug at my heart just a bit and make me miss the baby Lia. This was the first time I was able to get Lia to sit long enough for me to coax her hair into sweet little piggies...and she was so proud when she looked in the mirror! I will never forget the look on her face when she saw them for the first time. Priceless.

Such a precious post. It reminds me to "enjoy" this stage of Olivia's hair instead of wishing it to grow faster! I've just recently been able to do pig tales and Olivia reacts the same way Lia did.

Hi Kate! I found your blog tonight through Lisa at Half Gaelic, Half Garlic! Hope you don't mind that I follow along...we live in the southeast and are adopting a son from Thailand. I am so intrigued to read other families' adoption stories. Lia is beautiful. My 8 year old daughter's best friend is from China...so beautiful. I love her hair cut! Both of our daughters have had that cut and it's stinkin' adorable! Have a great weekend!

Baby Lia was adorable too..she has sure grown into a beautiful little girl. They do grow up too fast. I keep telling mine to slow down:)

Aw..Lia is about the same age in these photos as Magnolia...makes me realize how different things will be in a year. She's such a little cutie with those piggies!
