Hats a go-go...

Today was the annual "Hat Parade" at Lia's school. She wore her costume to school last night to decorate a pumpkin with her Daddy...but today (thankfully!) it was just about the hats. I found this gem at an antique shop this summer and after a bit of spiffing up (yes...with a (GASP!) glue gun), it worked perfectly for this very special occasion! I am already contemplating our plan for Hat Parade 2009...and while I don't want to spill the beans completely, I will say that it involves a lot of fruit...and a little samba...

Without further ado, I present...Hat Parade 2008!

Great Hat!! Looks like fun....and I am guessing you got the camera issues all cleared up....HOORAY!!

I can only imagine what next years will look like.....you better start giving Miss Lia some neck exercises....she will need some strong neck muscles to hold up that kind of hat!!

Can't wait to see you guys Sunday!

Love the idea of a hat parade. Katie is still up~wired from Halloween and asked...."Where did Lia get that hat?". I said "Her Mommy got it for her". She said..."Can you get me one?". Lia's hat was a hit with Katie Min Min.

Cool hat and it looks great on Lia! Can't wait for next year's pics : )

Why do I have the song, "Her name was Lola. She was a showgirl..." running through my head : )

That is just the cutest. I am all about props now, and have been trolling e-bay for a few vintage things... I think it is the blog that has given me this bug. Oh... here's how to do a strikeout (line through words):
Switch from "Compose" mode to "Edit HTML" mode on the top right of the post. Copy the strikeout code from here: http://tipsforbloggers.blogspot.com/2007/10/format-text-in-blogger-posts.html Then replace the word "strikeout" with the word(s) you want a line through. That's all I have for you Kate! ;)

Is that a picture of you with Lia in the parrot costume? I love to see my blogger buddies' faces.
